Description
The ridgeline above the old mining town of Creede in Rio Grande National Forest looks out over the Rio Grande River valley and the peaks that ring it on all sides. Bachelor Road (FR 504.1D) climbs a moderately steep grade to reach the upper sites — flat, spacious, and anchored by a fire pit — while easier pull-offs line the lower slope for those who'd rather skip the climb. Full cell service and a short drive from town make it a practical base for exploring the southern San Juans.
