Description
Bachelor Road (FR 504.1D) climbs through hillside terrain of Rio Grande National Forest just outside Creede to reach this natural dispersed site with open views and tree cover that provides meaningful wind shelter. The access road gains elevation and favors four-wheel drive — the climb back out can be slippery in two-wheel-drive conditions. An established fire ring is on-site, and multiple open positions on the hill offer varying degrees of exposure and shade.
