Description
Open BLM low Sonoran desert terrain in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Yaqui Well Primitive Campground strings a series of open sites along Yaqui Wells Road, a sandy dirt track off Highway S-3 near the confluence of Hwy 78. The surrounding terrain is quiet after dark despite some daytime road noise, and the skies draw out stars and coyotes in equal measure. The road is generally passable by regular vehicles, though soft sand near the shoulders rewards cautious entry — trailers up to around 28–32 feet have turned around near the vault toilets, but tight maneuvering room makes this better suited to shorter rigs.
