Stanislaus NF Dispersed off Highway 120

Mixed-conifer forest in Stanislaus National Forest just outside the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite holds this stretch of designated dispersed camping along a forest road, drawing a steady stream of campers using it as a base before or after the park. Roadside pullouts are flat and level, accessible to vans and lower-clearance vehicles, while sites deeper into the forest require high clearance and can get muddy after rain.
