Great motorcycle campspot
Campground was full but very quiet. Stayed at a great site for tent camping with my motorcycle. Bathrooms were clean, weather good, and bugs weren’t too bad. Also a trailhead for hiking to a few secluded lakes. And the best..no cell phone coverage!!
Beautiful and good amenities
We stayed in early June, which had perfect weather -- cool nights and warm days. Our campsite (52) was towards the back, so it felt like we had a good amount of privacy even though there were many other campers. We hiked up to Jamison Lake, which was a good 3 miles each way starting from the campground. There's a museum on site at the check-in area. At the campground, there are flushing toilets, water spigots, showers, and dumpsters. Beautiful site, strongly recommend visiting!
Lovely Camp! Quiet
We had a lovely night here at Jamison Creek Campground in Plumas-Eureka SP! We are from the Midwest & some local friends recommended this spot. Our site (36) was spacious, had great trees to sling up the hammock, and backed up to the creek which provided a lovely soundtrack. The moonlight that night was insane! We had full shadows. We were sure to use the bear box properly as a bear had been spotted in the campground that morning! Gorgeous views. We’ll be back. $24
Hidden gem!
My family and I have been going to this campground since I was 10. I am now 30, this year my husband and our 1 year old got to experience it they loved it! It has a spot for every kind of camper from glamping RV style to roughing it. There are bathrooms and water. A creek goes through the middle and is great in the summer for a nice cool down.
Childhood campground
This is my favorite campground. It’s the one I grew up going to and it is just so beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend!
Short hike to Beautiful
Went to Wade's Lake in Plumas NF on July 5th & 6th. Easy to moderate climb; one from the trailhead at Jaimison Mine and the second to get up to Wade's. A little challenging for some but doable for any hiker. The lake is small but beautiful! Seldom any one else there. Especially on a week day

A Gem
My all Time favorite spot maybe because I grew up in the area and there are lots of wonderful hikes lakes and waterfalls. This park is nice well taken care of lots of redwood trees. A creek runs through it. You can access some hikes to lakes right from the park. Seen a few tarantulas. A mtn lion lives near by saw him once at dusk while walking my dog along the trail toward the mine he was drinking water and we surprised him. He surprised us too! Rare to see them. Bears are in the area but never have I seen one in 25 years but there are bear boxes and bear proof trash cans so don't leave your ice chests out! Roomy site. Pay close attention when making a reservation some sites can only accommodate 1 tent. Sites are a bit pricey $$$ but there are showers and flush toilets and it's a fairly quiet place.
