Best RV Park I’ve Stayed At

We usually stay at RV parks as a last resort, preferring state parks and the like.

That being said, this is the best RV park style site I have stayed at. Sites were generous size, facilities and grounds clean, staff friendly, and it was quiet.

The pick your own oranges was a fun touch and the security and surrounded by orange groves made it feel further from the city than it is.

If you go South on 99 to the big farm store, try the Okie Pies - good stuff!

And their is a local fruit market just west down Edison and a short turn to the north - just follow the signs.

Juiciest oranges I have ever had!

Almost Perfect

Large sites, semi private with orange trees, pool, clubhouse, laundry, dog areas and VERY clean. One of the best RV places we have stayed. I would give it a 5 except for some minor highway noise and the occasional train that blows its horn. So I give it a 4.5

Great spot!

We only spent one night at this Campground but it was amazing. There are orange trees on everyone's site and they even provide you with the tools to pick oranges! The kids loved it :-). The facilities are clean the showers are warm and they even have an exercise room. The sites are spacious and have 50 30 hook up all full hook up all pull through.

Great park with spacious sites

Big level gravel sites with an orange tree on each space. Very large park right off highway 58. (Some road noise). I like that they spread the campers out when it is not busy. We stay here all the time as we travel. Nice laundry. Onsite area to wash your car or RV. Note: call for reservations - $5 charge for online.

One stop shopping

This spot, pretty much, has it all. Plenty of easy pull through's, 30&50amp, sewer, water and cable. Bathrooms, showers, laundry and numerous dog walks. A large "clubhouse" sporting a pooltable. Easy trailheads in town shown on All Trails app. Clean and quite, a good layover on my way to the Sequoias.

Giving a 5 for the staff and convenience

This was a quick stop for us. We got here around 11pm and left at 9am after getting our trailer and family loaded therefore I'm not accurately able to rate the rv park itself as we didn't use or see much. The staff was very nice over the phone and we let them know we'd be coming in after hours. They went over everything so we'd know what to expect. When we arrived we noticed the park had after hour security that helped others to their spot. We didn't need them but it was nice to see they had them there. Finding our spot and hook up was easy. All the spaces are large and pull thru. We plan to come back in the future to accurately rate the park overall, but for now I'm rating it 5 stars for the staff and communication.

Lovely hidden GEM! Well worth checking out!!

My wife and I were driving back from Utah and decided to drive as far back home as we could and didn't have anything booked for our return trip. I hit 7.5 hours of hauling our 5th wheel and it was getting dark! We used our Garmin 890 to check for local sites available the day after New Year and they had a spot!! We pulled in and the staff was super friendly and the location was breathtaking to say the least. The vibrant sunset draping over the vast rows of orange trees and the well gromed road and pads 👌 plus free oranges right at your Riga door was pretty awesome not to mention walking our puppy through the orchards. We actually planning a trip and im using the DYRT app and this just populated this campground as our half way point and we can't wait to go back and get some more oranges. Highly recommend this clean, well taken care of campground.

Nice place with bonus orange picking

We had site 117 and it was a nice spot with no fire pit. Full hookups and really I can’t imagine you could have a nicer park in Bakersfield. They did a great job! Only minor thing is the wifi did not work reliably for my son’s online school. My son and I enjoyed free orange picking though!

Organized, pleasant setting, OK wifi

On arrival for my one night, the wall board by the office had all the reservations with site numbers, map and local recommendations.

Grounds have plenty of areas for dogs, clean bathrooms + showers, and OK wifi that was a bit spotty at times. The orange trees provide a little privacy between sites and a little fun.

You definitely could hear the trains in the evening and night; it didn’t bother me as I use a white noise machine.

They have what looks like a nice lounge area looked nice, but with COVID, I did not take advantage.

Great little place to stop & stay before heading into the desert.

After 4 days on the road during COVID in my RV, this was a refreshing place for this winter weary traveler from the wet & grey skies of the PNW. Showers were open, large & free, with hot water. Friendly staff. I picked a bag of fresh oranges too. What a treat. Pull thru’s and full hookups. Just one tiny thing..... trains at night that blow their horns. I use soft earplugs so it didn’t wake me.

Great one one stop over mid CA

This was a one night stay for us to break up the trip from South to North CA. We picked it because of the location and found it a nice little place to pull off HWY 99.

Basically the owners have removed some of the orange trees and replaced them with RV spots… a great idea! It was truly a nice set up in the orange grove (unfortunately, everyone seems to know about it and within 3 hours our 'all alone site in the corner' was part of a large pack of RV'ers!)… oh well!

Regardless, we did have an end site with a view of the grove. We have full service and level site that did not require unhooking or adjustments. The WiFi was great. The service was welcoming. We really didn't hear the highway or the road noise until dawn when everyone was waking up; so no big issue as we were needing to get going anyways.

We didn't pay the extra$20 to reserve our spot(a little extreme), but we are thankful the system did not move us.

Simple and Clean

This is a simple and clean campground with paved roads that are good for kids to ride bikes. They separate the residents and the short term people on two different sides of the park, so that’s nice. Not a lot of shade and could absolutely use a playground for kids of to play on, but other than that it is a nice, simple park.
