Sun Outdoors Santa Barbara

This campground is fantastic. Pool, hot tub, privacy between RV spots, the staff is amazing. There’s a little store to get stuff you forgot. Will definitely be back!

After staying in Sun Outdoors San Diego, this was a let down.  The sites were small, our original site sewer drain was submerged under water ("it rained" - great, why is it below the surrounding ground in the first place???).  The young staff person was rude to my wife when she inquired why the bathrooms and showers were being cleaned prior to check out time (when we needed to prepare to leave...).  The site was dirt, and very small, so nothing special.  The pool and hot tub looked nice.  The bathrooms were typical.  We paid a premium price for an average to below-average place.

We stayed here while visiting Santa Barbara. It is about 15 minutes north of town right across from the (closed) El Capitan State Beach. The sites are typical for an RV park but not right on top of one another. We chose a premium site to be in a tad more secluded area. The pool and hot tub are nice. Our pup enjoyed the dog park. The bathrooms were clean with spacious showers with hot water. Easy access to the Bill Wallace trail up into the hills. We’d stay again as we liked this better than a downtown RV park we stayed in last time. While the sites don’t have ocean views you can view sunrise and sunset from the Bill Wallace trail or even catch peep ocean views walking around the RV Park. Staff is friendly. They do close the bathrooms too early for cleaning. Around 8:30 or 9 am, but you can go to one of the single room showers or toilets behind the laundry.

Have stayed here at least 10 times in the past. If Sun Outdoors had a loyalty program I think we would be Titanium/ Diamond . Check in is always efficient and pleasant. The grounds are very clean. This was the second time during our stay, where a worker came and blew the leafs away from our site. So appreciated. Hiking trails around. We like the walk to the goats and to the beach. Ride the mountain bikes etc. Always an easy drive to Santa Ynez valley for wine and golf. Both breweries are fun too.

Everything‘s clean and orderly. Pool area is nice with a nice hot tub. Friendly staff and the grounds are well kept. Nice dog park. Not much road noise from the 101. Has all the modern conveniences. And all this comes with a price. It is pricey, but there’s a lot of amenities.

Goleta, CA. Spacious sites. Very clean. Nicely wooded. Pool, jacuzzi, laundry-all well maintained. Hiking and biking trails. Short hike down to very nice beach at the El Capitan State Park.

This was another trip here. We needed a quick getaway, and this is always a good choice for us. Check in was easy, they even changed our site after showing all that were available. The was February, so lots of available sites. We will be back!

The staff here were very pleasant, and the sites were beautiful paved, level sites with privacy hedges between each (at least where we were). The bath house was very clean and showers were spacious and clean. Kids were having a great time at the pool. I wanted to use the hot tub, but there were 5 little kids in it. There was a big, CLEAN dishwashing sink. The laundry room was small, but everything worked great. The only real negative was the cost which was astronomical, but keeps it nice.

Horrible customer service. Beware if you try to cancel within the 14 days per the policy, they will not refund your money if you have modified your reservation at all. They stole my money and cancelled the reservation on me without me asking, after hanging up on me. Raelynn who claims to be the manger is not professional at all. This place is a joke! I will not do business with a company who operates this way. I suggest that the owners take a good look at what else shady accounting practices may be going on. I also suggest you update your cancellation policy to reflect"the rules" so that they are clear. I have never been treated so poorly. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Lovely place and lovely staff! It’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. They also have heated pool and jacuzzi, clean showers, and bathrooms. Trail and dog park available. Just kinda sucks you hear the cars passing at the 101. But I’d still come back.

Campground is pretty great. Had hiking trails from the campground that have amazing views. Very close to the beach. Sites are large and spacious. Would for sure come back here again.

This was our fourth stay here. Been here in all seasons. Normally very nice weather. Had back in and pull through sites, all good experience. Great trails to hike or Mt. Bike ride. Easy access to the beach. Very friendly staff. Nice amenities. One of my favorite places. Will be back again.

If you find yourself up near Santa Barbara, this luxury RV Resort and Campground is a real splurge. The grounds are beautiful, overlooking the ocean, and connecting to the El Capitan Canyon glamping resort, which offers yurts and safari tents. We enjoyed exploring the property's hiking trails and the heated pool was really nice. 

If you don't feel like cooking, there's a really cute little deli and gift shop called Canyon Market that sells a nice selection of California wines, craft beers and BBQ kits for grill-your-own meals. Their breakfast burritos were really good, and they also serve tacos, burgers, sandwiches and salads throughout the day.

El Capitan State Beach is about a 20 minute walk away, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of beach gear.

We love Ocean Mesa! From check in to poolside, the staff is always on top of it. This campground is pristine. You can tell how much the staff cares for their grounds and customers. We had so much fun that we want to make it an annual tradition. Can’t wait to come back here!

Simple park, with lots of green to run, playground, few mins drive to the beach($10 entry fee), space between RVs and a table. I like it. Swimming pool clean, showers fantastic. Clean toilets. Missing a hairdryer though.

The prices are expensive, and the spots are a little tight, and the beach is kinda far. Other then that it’s beautiful!

Beautiful and well kept with a cool trail behind with nice views

Great place for kids and families. Went during the week so wasn’t too crazy packed. They have a pool, playground, 24 hour bathroom and showers included with your stay. Also have a small restaurant in case you don’t feel like cooking. They have bike rentals that I believe are free to use. We had a great time and had a nice hike down to El Capitan beach with the kids where they enjoyed themselves. Overall highly recommend this place and will be returning.

Leaving Ocean Mesa and can’t wait to go back. Clean facility. Heated pool and jacuzzi. Concrete pads and lots of trees. Connected to El Cap Canyon that has cabins and yurts. A really great store there with events like wine tasting and concerts. Hiking trails are also connected to the campground. Just a mile from a great beach with lots of parking. No ocean view but the amenities makeup for that.

Private campground with jacuzzi and pool they keep clean, decent hiking trails off the back and a grassy area to chill. Short walk to beach (10-15 min) but easy place to camp.
