Noisy Neighbors in Pine Knoll

We went here with another family and were in spots 23 & 36. It was a perfect area for the kids to play. The campsite was very crowded and quite a few of the neighbors were very loud even after the quiet hrs. The park staff never came to ask them to quiet down at all. The bathrooms were not…

Nice, Shaded sights

I’ve camped here twice this year. Nice sight, small campground, vault toilets and running water available. Trail head is at the back of the campground day use parking is available. Short drive to Atascadero and Morro Bay.

Quaint KOA

This KOA is older, but super quaint. Staff is really nice and bathrooms, campsites and showers are very clean. Campground is tucked away within the mountain and there are many things to do just outside the campground. Beach, trails and golfing all within 5min. Spaces are a little small, not much…

Great place to stay!

Not only wAs this campground clean, but so good if you want tons of things to do. We biked to the beach. Swam at the pool. Watched an outdoor movie. Played shuffleboard, etc.

This is one of the few beaches you can drive on in CA. Come prepared with 4WD. Ride ATVs on the dunes and camp on the beach. Lots of trash and always windy.

Great location, ok site

Road to BLM site we wanted to go to was closed. Luckily got a site here as a walk in right by the entrance. Sites are close together. Whole campground is pretty shaded under big trees. Up the road is a much nicer campground on the other side of highway 1 that had full sun all day, and a great…

Family's Annual Winter Trip

Amazing place to come with the family. It's full on camping but you just don't have to bring a tent because a gorgeous bell tent is set up for you with two huge mattresses and a Buddy Heater to keep you warm at night.  The place is gorgeous and completely secluded.  When the sun goes down the…

Great Park with good sites

We really enjoyed our 4 nite stay at Pismo Sands, our site was huge, large grassy area that we shared with our friends who was in the site next to us. All the amenities, it was clean, quiet and very friendly. I highly recommend!!!

Plans change when Big Sur is on fire

We got here on a Friday around 11am for a walk in site and the campground was packed. Luckily the campground hosts were very nice and had placed us in the overflow campsites. Which was just a small open area with another group already set up there. The next day they gave us a walk in campsite so we…

Nothing speical

Dusty little place. It was the only one available since all of the surrounding spots were booked up.

Restrooms and showers close at 6p, so only potter potties are available after that.

Also the tenting spots are really close together.

$45 is way to expensive for what it is. Even for…

Camping by Lake Nacimiento

This lake and the one up the road, San Antonio Lake , are very popular motor boating locations in north San Luis Obispo County. Camping in the summer months are very hot and crowded and not cheap. On the positive side, the lake is huge with narrow passages where you can get off the main lake and…
