Hikers and mountain bikers have access to trails directly from this free dispersed pull-off along the Mormon Emigrant Trail in Eldorado National Forest. The main area has a few level spots with open sightlines toward the horizon, and additional dirt roads branch off to secondary camping areas when the primary pull-off is occupied. RVs up to 45 feet can fit. There are zero amenities on site, so campers should arrive with water, food, and all supplies. Note that a 2025 reviewer reported significant fire damage in the area, so conditions may differ from earlier visits. Weekday visits tend to mean fewer neighboring campers.

Great little spot

Needed a place to camp after driving 12 hours from Washington . Wanted to stay as close to Yosemite . This place did the trick . No one was there . Quiet and serene . Lots of scorched trees . But all in all was great . There is also cell service ! 7-23-26

Good spot for a night or two but nothing here

Easy to get to and easy to park at although not a great spot for tents. Unfortunately there was a massive fire here and there is nothing to look at but burned out trees.

Large dirt pull off

Large pull off area I found and stayed at for 4 days with amazing views of the sunset and sunrise! I was there on weekdays so was pretty much alone the whole time but even if the main spot is occupied there’s a couple of dirt roads that lead to more areas to camp. A couple of level spots and lots of room to hike around. Completely free and peaceful but 0 amenities so come prepared. Currently there is an abandoned red semi truck cab so it’s easy to find not sure if that will ever be moved in the future though!
