Description
A high ridge inside Anza-Borrego Desert State Park holds this spur off The Slab Road, opening onto a windswept clearing with views east to the Salton Sea and northwest toward the Palomar Observatory dome. The approach is a steep, rutted track with wash crossings that demands high clearance and patience — shorter rigs (under roughly 23 feet) have the easiest time maneuvering the limited turnaround. Tent campers can find flat ground further up the hill, and the surrounding network of trails supports hiking and mountain biking directly from camp.
