The approach follows Italian Bar Road (FR 2N63) for a few bumpy miles on a single-lane gravel surface, with a steep final pitch down to the clearing — high clearance is advisable, and the road offers no practical turnaround for towed rigs or large motorhomes. The clearing is spacious enough for several vehicles, with a couple of smaller pullouts on the road above for overflow; no cell service reaches the site.
