Description
On the eastern Sierra escarpment within Inyo National Forest, this roadside pullout sits at roughly 6,700 feet elevation with a sweeping northeast-facing view across the Mono Lake basin. The surface has a gentle slope that requires some maneuvering to get level, but the area is open enough to accommodate larger rigs. A painted road marking noted at the pullout raises some uncertainty about camping here; the stretch of forest road continuing west offers comparable alternatives worth checking first.
