Hikers exploring the towering redwood groves will find Baxter Environmental Camp operates as a group facility within Humboldt Redwoods State Park from mid-May through late September. The campground accommodates RVs up to 24 feet and provides standard amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings with firewood available for purchase.
Campers appreciate the well-maintained facilities and clean bathhouses with coin-operated showers. The open terrain layout offers direct access to the park's extensive trail system that winds through ancient redwood forests. No pets are permitted, and the $20 nightly rate requires advance reservations through the California state park system.
