Horseback riders and equestrians have a dedicated base within Humboldt Redwoods State Park at this horse camp situated near Cuneo Creek, open from early May through mid-October. The camp is a long drive in from the Garberville side, accessed via the road between Garberville and Honeydew, which one reviewer noted is scenic but demanding. Full hookups are available, including electric, water, and sewer, with sites accommodating rigs up to 40 feet. Reservations are accepted. This camp makes the most sense for equestrians who need hookup infrastructure and direct access to camping near Humboldt Redwoods State Park trail systems.
