About Hidden Horse Campground
Hidden Horse has 6 campsites, one of which is designed to be accessible for people with disabilities. Each site has four 12'x12' corral stalls, but there are no watering troughs, so campers must bring their own buckets. ACTIVITIES Camping: Campground on the edge of the Trinity Alps Wilderness with horse corrals. Hiking: Nice day hike here up Trail Gulch to Trail Lake. Day hikers should always yield to horses and livestock on the trail. Speaking to horses in a quiet voice will help them stay calm as they pass you. Horseback Riding: Campground on the edge of the Trinity Alps Wilderness with horse corrals. There is overnight horse camping and day use parking for trailers. The Forest Service requests and recommends bringing certified weed free feed for horses entering the wilderness. Recreational Vehicles: Campground on the edge of the Trinity Alps Wilderness with horse corrals. Wildlife Viewing: A good area for riparian wildlife along the river and forest birding. Some small mammals frequent the campsites. Horse Camping: Campground on the edge of the Trinity Alps Wilderness with horse corrals. From Callahan, take the Callahan-Cecilville Rd for approx. 11 miles. At about a 1/2 mile below the summit, the turn-off to the campground will be on your left.
