Description
Along the eastern shore of Grant Lake in Inyo National Forest, this dispersed beach area sits just outside the back entrance to Yosemite at roughly 7,000 feet elevation, surrounded by the high Sierra scenery of the June Lake Loop corridor. Camping is permitted at two designated spots directly on the beach — not in the upper paved parking area — with porta-potties and a trash bin available on the hill above. The access road accommodates campervans and smaller 2WD vehicles but not large rigs, and no cell signal reaches the site.
