Scattered across remote sections of Death Valley National Park, this dispersed camping area requires navigating challenging desert roads to reach isolated sites. Campers access spots along unpaved routes like Badwater Road south of Jubilee Pass and Warm Spring Canyon Road, where washboard surfaces, sand patches, and rocky terrain demand all-wheel drive vehicles with moderate clearance.
The area provides completely undeveloped camping with no facilities, toilets, or cell service. Sites along these corridors offer expansive desert views with minimal traffic, though campers must observe the 50-foot wilderness boundary and use previously disturbed areas. Wildlife including wild burros, bats, and hummingbirds frequent certain locations, particularly near water sources. For easier access, Harry Wade Road Dispersed — Death Valley NP provides similar dispersed camping with less challenging road conditions.
