Clear Lake Campground

With full hookups and reservations available, Clear Lake Campground sits along Cache Creek just off Highway 53 in Lower Lake. This privately-owned RV park provides electric, water, and sewer connections alongside basic amenities including restrooms, showers, and WiFi access.

The campground occupies waterfront sites directly on Cache Creek, where campers can fish from shore or launch kayaks into the slow-moving water. Diane W. notes "lots of wildlife sightings across the creek in the state park reserve" and mentions birdwatching opportunities. Several reviewers describe seeing ducks and fish throughout the day from their campsites. The facility includes a small pool and offers kayak rentals, plus boat ramp access for guests.

Highway noise from nearby Route 53 reaches the campground, though most campers find it manageable rather than disruptive. Sites sit close together, making this setup more suitable for RVs than large tents. Shower access requires tokens available at the boat launch restrooms, and firewood sells for $10 cash. The owners provide military discounts and maintain a small camp store on-site.

This older facility works well for RV campers prioritizing water access and full hookups over pristine aesthetics, particularly those interested in fishing or paddling Cache Creek.

Many visitors appreciated the friendly owners and functional facilities at this waterfront campground, though several noted aging infrastructure and highway noise from CA-53. Good for fishing and wildlife watching despite some maintenance needs.

Not on the lake! On a fishy smelling algae filled Creek next to a highway and very little shade

Cute but older and I mean really old RV camp on what's called a creek. I was told I could pick any Lakefront campsite but this is not the lake! They have a nice small pool and showers are included in the cost and there are full hookups available. Three Yurts available for rent. They offer kayak rentals and have plenty of boat ramps for guests but I didn't want to go into this nasty water, And I brought my own inflatable kayak. Decent for the price if you can't find anything on the lake itself but not what it is cut out to be.

Friendly staff, nothing fancy

The employees are really friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again but would stay if I needed a spot in the area. It’s really close to the highway, so you don’t get that camping feel of the outdoors

Clear lake camping July 2022

Decent facilities, park rangers keep the bathrooms stocked with toilet paper and toilet seat covers. Need tokens for showers. Pick up tokens at boat launch bathrooms. Bring cash, small bills. $10 Firewood bundle cash only.

Friendly smaller campground for RV's

This friendly locally owned campground is right as you come into clear lake, nice and convenient. The owners were very nice and gave us the tents for troops program discount. We used a large tent, and in hindsight I would recommend rv's only, due to the closeness of the sites to one another. The site we had was right on the water, and it was great to see the ducks and fish throughout the day!
The traffic noise was noticeable but not annoying. Everyone in the campground was friendly and another tent family came to camp next to us. Many of the campers were using their time to sit and relax while fishing from the shore.

Retro 1950s and '60s facility

This little campground RV park is very quaint and small. Driving into it, you got the impression that it was frozen in time. At its heyday, was probably the place to go. We recruited by Lisa, the property owner manager. Extremely pleasant and helpful and accommodating. Once we settled in and walked around we realized that the RV park itself was in disrepair and in need of a lot of TLC when it came to some of the amenities. All of the hookups worked fine! The hour appearance of the facility was one of years of decay like a ghost town. If a little effort could be applied, I think this place could be really fun to stay at with larger groups of families. There is heavy road noise off of California 53 which is right above the property. RV is situated next to the main water outlet of Clear Lake is which is cross from a wilderness and wildlife preserve which is very cool to see all of the wildlife.
