A place in the woods

Spent 3 nights here in late May, dry camping. Campground has clean vault toilets and ample drinking water. We were in a site close to the road but recommend a site closer to the creek. Note: no easy access to creek from campground, so recommend going to the red bridge to access trails. FYI… Fairly remote, closet town is Chester, 30 miles away. No cell signal on any carrier. Great fly fishing on Dry Creek!

Great for Dry Camping!

Super cute campground close to ChicoCA. 45 min or so! Dry camping, no hookups. Perfect for a weekend away. We brought our 19' trailer and it fit perfectly! Clean restrooms, creek access, family friendly! We had rain night 1 but was hot the next day 🤷‍♀️

Great family campground

We went Memorial Day weekend, so it was a bit busy, but there were still spaces available.

The area is covered in greenery and it is next to Deer Creek with easy access for trout fishing.

Bathrooms were okay, there were air fresheners inside, but the knob was broken so it wouldn’t shut properly, so flies would come in. The door has a deadbolt for when you use it. Running water was directly outside the restroom.

Each site had a picnic table and a fire pit, we made good use of both.

Quick get away

Deer creek river is easily accessible from all the camp spots. Nice condition with fire pits and tables. No spots are directly on the river so theres no intrusion through other camp spots with people in them. Fills up fast on weekends. The pit toilets near the entrance is really low which is great for smaller children.

Clean campground by creek & road

paved campground with no hookups but nice spacious spots. The creek is pretty, but the road is a lIttle noIsy. You can drive a little ways down the road and there’s a trailhead. If you’re travelling and just stopping for a couple nights this place is great, but I wouldn’t make it a week long destination trip.
