Within Stanislaus National Forest, Pigeon Flat Campground operates as a walk-in facility managed by the US Forest Service from May through September. The campground sits near a river and requires campers to carry gear from parking areas to individual sites. Basic toilet facilities are provided, though no other amenities are available on-site.
Access restrictions include a no-pets policy, which campers should note when planning their visit. The Stanislaus National Forest Boulder Flat Campground sits directly north for those seeking additional options in the immediate area.
