Direct water access

Gull Lake is a fabulous campground if you can secure a site. It’s a very popular location with limited availability. Sites 11 through 7 offer direct water access, and even site 1 has water access across the street. It’s perfect if you want to launch a boat or kayak and have access directly from your campsite.

However, be cautious when booking. My specific site, site 8, was advertised as suitable for a 40-foot vehicle or RV, but it was actually more suitable for about 25 feet. I barely managed to fit my trailer and truck. I wouldn’t recommend this campground for large RVs, as the sites are quite shallow.

The restrooms are clean, and there are trash receptacles near them. There is no camp host on site, so if someone doesn’t show up for their reservation, there’s no one to assist with rebooking the site. On the plus side, cell service is great.

Nice lil spot

Be careful which site you choose. Some are close to the road and we couldn't find a map online. We were in site 11 and it was a winner!! On the lake and close to the bathrooms, which by the way were the most clean I've ever seen. Beautiful lake to fish, swim, and hike around. Would go again!!

Really nice if you’re on the lake side

This campground is small with a few spots on the lake and a few across the road that leads into the site. If you can get one of the first come first serve sites along the lake then you’ll be a happy camper. The sites on the other side of the road are situated right next to the main road with traffic driving right by. There is only a small place to walk down to the lake to fish if you do not have a lake front site. The area of June Lake has a few cute restaurants and coffee shops so you’re not far away from amenities.

beautiful lake

I loved this place. Walking distance to the lake. There are docks and a nice convenience store where you can rent boats, canoes, and paddle boats. There is a very nice playground on the lake. Near the playground there is a thrift store. At the playground there are sections to fish at. past the park is a trail head which takes you up and around the lake. There is a general store walking distance from the campground. if you turn out all the lights and look up, you have an incredible view of the stars. Once which I’ve never seen. The staff at the campground are very friendly and go by watering your plants which are located on the sites bench. Would come back again.
