BLM mp 138.0 spur Dispersed

Free dispersed camping along a rocky two-track road that branches north from Highway 62 at milepost 138.0, this BLM site provides about 20 camping spots near the Colorado River. The gravel access road requires standard clearance vehicles, and campers report good cell phone reception throughout the area.

Sites spread along the spur road offer views across the desert landscape, though some long-term occupants have established semi-permanent setups that may limit spot availability. The location stays quieter than more popular dispersed areas closer to Quartzsite, making it appealing for campers seeking less crowded conditions. Standard BLM rules apply: 14-day limit, pack out all trash, and no water or restroom facilities provided.

Good ,could be great

This is a cool spot and it’s much quieter than plasmas road or spots closer to quartzite. There’s only about 20 spots and they are all pretty decent. We have come several weekends and on holidays and still got great spots. Views are excellent . Here’s the only issue. There are full timers not moving after 14 days as is required by law. Some have really set up shop and this visit we are near someone who is running their generator all day and into the night. They have dogs off leash that they are leaving outdoors to roam and poop wherever. Now most everyone who is here is cool and nice but there are some really cool spots that I would like to camp at that someone has basically claimed. I do t want to be the “ Karen”, sorry all of you named Karen, but is there anyone we can call that might be able to enforce some rules. I would prefer these area be in supervised and there not ever need TK be rangers patrols g etc but that requires everyone to follow the rules. I will say it’s o my one area that of this site that this seems to be an issue and it certainly my didn’t ruin our time there. We still had a great time and DJ really live this area

Closest BLM to Earp/Parker

This BLM spur leaves hwy #62 at MP 138.0 at top of hill at boundary of the CRIT reservation. The rocky two track goes north and numerous campsites are available. Since this road spur is closest to Earp and Parker it is popular. Good cell signal and some noted OTA tv signal also. BLM free dispersed, 14d limit, no trash, water or toilets.
