Not what the website says

The place is clean. Sites are level. Full hook ups. But the bathroom is closed. The rate is double. Nothing here but a parking lot

Parking Lot

So I tried to stay here last night around 10 pm but I could not figure out how to reserve my spot. When I went online to the website to reserve a spot, it made me choose where I would park my car. It was dark and I couldn't see any markings for places to park. My husband and I are actually staying in our tent but since it was late, we had just decided to sleep in our car. I definitely would not recommend this place for tents! We decided to go to the nearest KOA to spend the night, but I gave two stars because it seems like it might have been a good place for RVs. $25 a night for a parking spot seemed a little much to me. Also it was $900 per month for RVs.

It's a Fairground

If you need to go to the Antelope Valley Fairground for any reason what-so-ever. Let's say you're coming for a concert or to see a car show or something, sure, come spend the night at the RV lop. It has nice clean bathrooms and showers, very nice hook-ups, and good prices. And while the big black fences are a little, well, big, that definitely bring the feeling of safety.

That said, if you're just passing through the through California/Mojave area and thought it might be fun to go sleep in a fairground for no reason, don't do it. It's another one where it's just a big plain old parking lot. It's a clean nice parking lot, but it's a parking lot.

Safe, Clean Basic Parking lot at a Fairground

This is essentially one big parking lot behind a fence (though there are also spots outside the fence as well). Clean showers and bathrooms. Full RV hook-ups. It's absolutely nothing to write home about and really has no personality, trees, or privacy, but if you're in the area and need an anonymous place to stay in your RV that's quiet will full hook-ups, this one does just fine. The price isn't too bad, but not cheap ($25-$30 depending on sites). Drive-up only (no reservations).

When we were there there was nothing going on at the fairgrounds, though I can imagine it would be a very different experience depending on what kind of events were happening (for better or worse).

Tip: take the second or third exit into the fairgrounds (not the first…I think the correct one is labeled livestock) and head alllll the way back. One of the only "fun" parts of this spot is you can see all of the fairground equipment and such stored on the drive in.
