Loud and crowded as hell. Feels like folks get a little nosy but thats just due to proximity most likely. Bathroom isn't very well kept and the snack machine prices are eye watering. That being said, I was honestly surprised to find an alright place to sleep smack dab between two cities as big and bougie as San Diego and LA. Type of place where you're never going to worry about whether you're gonna get robbed.
Good place to park overnight up to 48 hrs
This rest area is not far from Oceanside on interstate 5 south. Lots of parking spaces, vending machines, restrooms.
