Nice Weekend Getaway

The drive to Albion, Ca was beautiful. We arrived at the Campground and the nice fact was being able to reserve and choose our campsite. This Campground is also a Marina for boatlaunching, fishing and crabbing. Each RV site has a table, fire ring and 30 Amp electrical and water. There are also full hookup with cable, sewer in addition to the electrical and water. The view is incredible the campsite is along the Albion River then it spill into Albion Cove and that opens to the Pacific Ocean. Ocean fishing in kayaks or boat and crabbing along the pier is often why people come here.

Unique spot

Cool location underneath the Albion bridge just south of Mendocino.

Park itself is tight, not a ton of space in between RVs and no privacy. Could use some trees, bushes, plants, anything to create some separation. Shoot for the B section for the most space.

Price is reasonable, but does not include access to showers. They charge .25 cents for 30 seconds of shower time… ouch! Most sites are water and electric, but there are some with full hookups.

No thanks

Great campground if you want to pay $60 to be packed between families and teenagers who have little respect for your privacy and think they’re the only ones in the campground.

Great location, ok campground

The campground is a large parking lot and during Covid, it looks like they are operating at half capacity. Actual RV sites are not special but the campground sits underneath the wooden bridge and at the mouth of the river, so beautiful location. Fog horns at night make it quite mystical. Online reservations are easy. Facilities are well used but they do provide all necessary amenities and small store on location. WiFi useable only to get and receive emails and no phone service available for Verizon or T-Mobile. Watch out for the hairpin turn on the way down!

Decent; more fisherman spot than campground

Private site. Anytime I don’t have to use ReserveCalifornia website, I’m happy. Great online reservation interface (except the map was upside down. South-up). The “campground” is simply a big lot under the bridge; recommend checking it out on Google Earth. No trees or bushes to delineate sites. Loud foghorn sounds every 30-45 seconds at the absolutely beautiful beach inlet. Dogs LOVED the beach
