Reservation requirements at Alamo Creek are unclear on the ground. Most sites appear to require advance booking, and the few spots that look open to walk-up camping sit along trailheads serving hikers and mountain bikers, raising the risk of being turned away. The US Forest Service manages this dispersed area within Los Padres National Forest. Campers wanting more reliable dispersed access may do better heading up the canyon toward Morrow dispersed camping instead.
