Quail Spring Road Dispersed — BLM Bakersfield

The elevated rise above the Carrizo Plain in California's BLM Bakersfield field area opens onto wide views of the surrounding grasslands and plains in multiple directions. A looping dirt track off Quail Spring Road winds up the grade — steep but well-graded and manageable for 2WD vehicles in dry conditions — and terminates at an open area with an established fire ring. If the first sites are occupied, continuing up the hill reveals additional open spots.
