Gotta Love Her

Open Mar - Oct with 116 sites and 80 are electric

Fees:  $16.00 - $20.00

Reservations:  877-444-6777 or recreation.gov

Boat ramp, drinking water, dump station, playground, flush toilets, showers, picnic table, fish cleaning table, water sites, swimming beach, day use area

Campground is older as most COE camps are but the ones in Arkansas have a great deal of charm and beauty.  Sites are mainly shaded with typical forest trees in this area.  Wildlife spotting from your campsite is normal.  Sites are generally smaller than you will find in a private campground.  Check the site sizes to make sure your unit will fit.  The sunsets re amazing if you have a water site.  Not to mention you could have your own "mini" cliff to jump off on to go swimming.  There are even some site where people dock their boats.

Small

We didn’t camp but the campground choices are few and the beach is small. However, it was a great shady place to enjoy with bathrooms.

Okay.

Beach/ swimming area has a lot of geese. Friend got a ticket for having a beer in the swimming area, stay at your spot if you are drinking.

Quiet and clean. Needs water hookup

Great place and so pretty. No water or sewer hook up. I can deal without sewer but need that water. Place was clean and nicely spread out. The beach was awesome and quiet.

Site in the woods

Reserved late and got a spot in the back. Thought it wasn’t going to be great but it turned out awesome. The campsite is busy but there is plenty of space to yourself. I would recommend it over other sites on the lake.

Great Lake Access!

We normally camp on E or G and love them both! This past time we were on A which is closest to the swimming area. Easy access to swim or put the kayaks in! Hook-ups are electric only. Lots of trees and good sized sites so everybody can be spaced out!

On Greers Ferry Lake

Nice sites on the lake. We camp here a lot since it is close to our house. Staff is friendly and doesn't get in your business. Drive through to find the choice sites. This last time we were able to camp right on the water and park our boat at the site. Busy on the weekends so make sure and reserve. Weekdays are pretty peaceful. The lake is busy but large enough that even at busy times there is room for fun. Fishing, boating, hiking, and swimming are all close by.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there beach access at Old Highway 25 Park?

Yes, Old Highway 25 Park features a dedicated swimming beach area that's accessible to campers. The A section of the campground is closest to this swimming area, making it convenient for quick access. While the beach is small, it offers a shady spot to enjoy the water. The swimming area has flush toilets nearby for convenience. Note that alcohol is prohibited in the swimming area (enforced with tickets), and there may be geese present at certain times, so plan accordingly.

What amenities are available at Old Highway 25 Campground?

Old Highway 25 Campground offers electric hookups at most sites (80 out of 116 sites have electricity), but no water or sewer connections at individual sites. The facility provides drinking water stations, flush toilets, showers, and a dump station. Additional amenities include a boat ramp, playground, fish cleaning table, picnic tables, and a swimming beach. The campground has both a day use area and waterfront sites where you can park a boat. Vault toilets are located in the A section, while other bathroom facilities are maintained throughout the grounds.

Where can I find a map of Old Highway 25 Campground?

Maps of Old Highway 25 Campground are available through recreation.gov when making reservations. The campground is divided into lettered sections (A, E, G, etc.) with distinct characteristics. For official maps and site layouts, contact the Corps of Engineers office that manages Greers Ferry Lake or call the reservation line at 877-444-6777. Upon arrival, maps are typically provided at the entrance or by campground hosts who can help orient you to the different camping loops and amenities.

How does Old Highway 25 Campground compare to other Greers Ferry Lake camping options?

Old Highway 25 Campground stands out for its secluded, quiet atmosphere and mature tree coverage with cedar and hardwoods providing ample shade. Many sites offer direct lake access and views, which isn't always available at other Greers Ferry options. The campground is more spacious than some alternatives, with sites well spread out for privacy. It features a family-friendly environment with good bank fishing opportunities and rock bluffs that kids enjoy. While popular on weekends (requiring reservations), it can be peacefully empty during weekdays and off-season, particularly in fall when the foliage is spectacular.

Is Old Highway 25 Campground suitable for RVs?

Yes, Old Highway 25 Campground accommodates RVs with 80 sites offering electrical hookups. However, there are no water or sewer connections at individual sites, though a dump station is available. The campground has spacious sites that can fit larger rigs, and some are designated as handicap accessible. For the best RV experience, drive through the campground to find ideal sites, particularly in sections E and G which are popular with RVers. Be prepared for electrical-only camping and bring adequate water supplies, as this is an older campground with limited hookups.
