Welcome to Fancy Hill Cabins and RV Park located in remote Fancy Hill, Arkansas. In 1862, Phillip N. Cogburn, my great-grandfather, was granted homestead for land by then President Benjamin Harrison. The Homesteading Act of 1862, provided public land grants of 160 acres to any adult citizen who paid a small registration fee and agreed to live on the land continuously for 5 years, after which they would be granted a deed to the land. Our family still privately own's some of this original land today. Welcome to Fancy Hill Cabins and RV Park LLC. Come and enjoy a beautiful tent/small rv primitive campsite right on the banks of the Southfork of the Caddo River. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets; step back from the day to day and enjoy the soothing sounds of Jack Creek as you relax in your hammock right on the banks of the creek. Fancy Hill Lake is a short mile drive up the road. We are a short drive to Little Missouri Falls, Bard Springs and Albert Pike recreation areas. Close proximity to Wolf Pen Gap, and Shady Lake Recreation Areas. One hour from Hot Springs or Mena and 20 minutes from Glenwood. Fancy Hill Store located less than half a mile away for your convenience. We offer a privately owned and family operated beautiful area to spend quality time with your family and friends while exploring the Ouachita National Forest and surrounding areas; Enjoy smore's in the afternoon over your open campfire after a long day hiking at Little Missouri Falls or digging for Diamonds at Murfreesboro. Lucky's Canoe Rental is 14 miles away located on the Caddo River. Kick back in your lawn chair, as you enjoy the evening sunset. Bring your ATV or rent a ATV and spend a day at Albert Pike or Wolf Pen Gap. Come and spend a weekend, a week, or a month and see all the beauty this area has to offer. This recreation area is part of Bayou Bodcau Reservoir. Tom Merrill Recreation Area has 20 campsites, all of which have electric hookups. Some campsites are closer to the forest, while some are more open within the park. All sites are within walking distance of the water. Amenities at this recreation area include flush toilets, showers, playground, outdoor exercise equipment, dump station, a game cleaning station, disc golf course, and bike trail. The outlet channel, where Bodcau Reservoir drains into the Bodcau Creek, is an excellent place for fishing.

Tom Merrill Recreation Area

Beaver Dam Campground is situated on the shores of Upper Caney Lake in the Caney Lakes Recreation Complex. The campground is located in a beautiful setting among woods, lakes and hills. Swimming, boating, fishing and water skiing are the top activities. Sugar Cane National Recreation Trail passes right next to the campground and offers varied terrain for hikers and bikers. The Sugar Cane trail was named for the crop that was once cultivated here, in addition to cotton. Recreation Bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and sandbass can be caught in the lakes. The Sugar Cane Trail spans 5.7 miles and the Lost Man Loop spans 2 miles. Both are open to hiking and mountain biking. Facilities Campsites come with electric and water hookups. The group picnic area accommodates up to 200 guests while each campsite fits up to eight campers. A sanitary dump station, drinking water and flush toilets are provided. Natural Features Beaver Dam sits at an elevation of 160 feet along the north shores of the 125-acre Upper Caney Lake. The group picnic area is near Lower Caney Lake, spanning 250 acres. Kisatchie National Forest, the only national forest in Louisiana, spans 604,000 acres and mostly consists of bayous with bald cypress groves and old growth pine. ## Overview

Rocky Point Park offers a campground and group day use picnic shelter use on the shore of 30,000-acre Wright Patman Lake within the piney woods of northeast Texas. This large facility offers campers a complete range of services and year-round outdoor activities like fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. 

## Recreation

Rocky Point has hiking and walking trails for registered campers, including a 1.3-mile trail that connects with nearby Piney Point Campground. Children enjoy the facility's swimming beach, playground, volleyball court and amphitheater with educational programs.   
  
Boaters and anglers can take advantage of the accessible boat ramp. Bass, catfish, crappie and sunfish are found in the lake.

## Facilities

The campground has beautiful, mostly-shaded campsites, many which are on the waterfront. All 124 campsites consist of a hard surface parking pad, water and electric hookups, a picnic table, grill, and utility table. Dumpsters can be found at the exit of the park past the dump station for disposal of trash. Fifteen of the sites have sewer connections; forty-one sites have 50-amp electric service.   
  
Visitors who don't wish to stay overnight can reserve a group picnic shelter that can accommodate up to 60 people.

## Natural Features

The park is situated in a mixed hardwood-pine forest next to Wright Patman Lake. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages approximately 55,000 acres of public forestland around the lake, providing habitat for wild turkey, bobwhite quail, squirrel, white-tailed deer, waterfowl and migrating bald eagles, pelicans and ducks. Some poisonous snakes inhabit the area.

The Texarkana region is full of activities such as shopping, movies, restaurants and local historical sites. Shreveport, Louisiana offers river boat gambling, horse races and numerous festivals, including the Four State Fair and Rodeo and the Jump, Jive and Jam Festival.
