    Miners Camping & Rock Shop

Good For Primitive Camping Terrible Bathrooms

My first impressions of this site were terrible. The Bathrooms are extremely old and honestly seem like they're rotting down. The playground area is small but jot terrible. The area for rvs is pretty cramped with no privacy. Luckily while talking to some folks there they directed us on down the road. There are two more sections specifically for primitive camping that are really nice. There are a couple picnic tables and fire rings. There is also a nice pond. The cell signal isn't terrible but it's a bit hit and miss for internet.

Overall, I would suggest it but don't expect to use their showers or bathroom. Go a couple minutes down the road and use the state parks showerhouse. It's really nice.

Texarkana RV Park & Event Center

    Great park, but tight spots.

Texarkana RV Park is a very nice, clean, and friendly RV park. They have a gated entrance for extra security. The park has nice amenities such as pool, playground, laundry, restrooms, dog run, and park-like setting with duck pond. Most sites are pull-thru and plenty long, but narrow. Beware of your slide placement before parking, as site poles may be in the way of a slide fully opening. Each site is gravel with a patio and they have 50 amp FHU. We enjoyed our stay at this campground and would definitely stay again. 👍🏻😊

    Hope Springs RV Campground

    Little Gem in NE Texas

Great campground for a short stay or longer occupancy.  Easy to get in and out.  Full amenities.  This is an older campground that is being upgraded in progress.  The RV sites are double sized and pull through.  Wifi is available and there is a cell phone tower across the street, so its terrific 5g signal.  There is a small laundry room and a shower house.  There is a catch and release pond, and walking spaces on the back acreages and piney woods.  It is quiet and friendly.  The owner is very helpful and approachable.  The sites are level.  The nearby area boasts a small grocery store with gas station for gas and diesel, post office, oil change/brake shop, high school ball fields and tennis courts, as well as nearby pizza and Mexican restaurants. There is a terrific steak house within a 20 minute drive.  Doctors offices are conveniently located near the Post Office too.  I recommend this park as a home base for nomadic RVers.  Any questions, just ask. The property has lots of fire ants and chiggers, so stay on paved areas.

    Atlanta State Park Campground

    Very clean

Nice and clean park. Quiet but only half full. Only down side is the limited amount of full hookups and then only 1 dump station. All the trail signs are new and easy to find. Camp hosts definitely do there job on checking on the park and ensuring things are taken care of. Sites are pretty good size with table, grill and fire ring. Pads are fairly level, only took 1 2x12 in the one side, make sure to bring blocks for the rear stabilizers as the pad drops off at the back.

    Atlanta State Park Campground

    Excellent park with boat ramps!

Atlanta State Park is nestled pretty far off the beaten path (nearest highway) deep in the pineywoods. It sits on the edge of Wright Patman Lake near the Texarkana region on the Texas side. Has plentiful campgrounds that are nearly maintained, two different boat ramps (both in good condition) for fishing, along with multiple swimming areas (with beaches) for folks. The major plus to this lake is that you can easily bring a boat with you when you're camping, because of the plentiful spaces at campsites and boat ramp access.

Wright Patman Lake is a decent lake, but does have a fair amount of stumps along the edges- watch for the bouyees. Fishing is good, water can get very warm in the summer which is nice for swimming.

Overall it's a beautiful park and the best park along Wright Patman Lake in my opinion. I've also been here at least two dozen times and enjoyed each experience.

    Cozy Campground in T-Town!

Cute and clean! Great for a few nights or longer. Pool, playground, laundry, and showers. The whole place is clean and neat. Easy to access from the I-30 service road, pull through sites available. We live in a 45' 5th wheel and had no trouble at all. FULL HOOK-UPS! 30 and 50 amp.

    Texarkana KOA

Nice, clean, but very noisy next to Interstate

Nice staff. Clean sites. The only downside from my opinion is the close proximity to the Interstate. We stayed here for one week. I worked during the day using my T-Mobile / Sprint Hotspot. Great 5G signal. AT&T's 5G was horrible at times even though I had full bars. (not the campground's fault of course).

Nice bathhouse with washers and dryers. Close proximity to everything in the northern part of the city.

Call ahead and make sure your site has a fire pit and swing if you want one, otherwise, it is hit-and-miss.
