My first impressions of this site were terrible. The Bathrooms are extremely old and honestly seem like they're rotting down. The playground area is small but jot terrible. The area for rvs is pretty cramped with no privacy. Luckily while talking to some folks there they directed us on down the road. There are two more sections specifically for primitive camping that are really nice. There are a couple picnic tables and fire rings. There is also a nice pond. The cell signal isn't terrible but it's a bit hit and miss for internet.
Overall, I would suggest it but don't expect to use their showers or bathroom. Go a couple minutes down the road and use the state parks showerhouse. It's really nice.
Had a very relaxing time with the family here. The campsite is very clean and the lake is beautiful. All of the staff are great!! Only negative thing was the bathrooms. Heater looked to be on and it was pretty hot inside.

Beautiful place to stay with the most amazing owners. So friendly, so attentive. The place is clean and peaceful. I will be staying here again and again!
We arrived late, after midnight. It was super easy to find. Level pull spot. Thankful they called earlier in the day to tell me the spot #, because the envelope was not there. That was the only ding.
We are from TX and came to Arkansas for a wedding. This was my first out of state, state park so keep that in mind. The sites are clean and well cared for. There is exactly ONE pull through site that we were fortunate enough to get. The rest are on a tight road. The highway runs right by the pull through site so the road noise can be loud at times. I recommend staying by the lake if you don’t need a pull through site. There are 2 walking trails and a few playgrounds. No fishing off the pier. The lake is BEAUTIFUL, we saw an alligator (I was quite excited about that). The dump station is a pretty tight squeeze but doable if your site doesn’t have a dump (ours did). ATT cell service SUUUUCKS here. I repeat, it suuuuuucks lol! Picked up 4 TV channels on the 1 rainy day we had. All in all, I would stay here again, just wouldn’t compare it to TX State Parks, because well…. I learned this weekend everything is indeed bigger in Texas.
Electric hook up does not work. Water outlet faces directly upward and requires a hose to access the water. It’s almost impossible to simply fill a kettle, as the water shoots straight up. Traffic noise is constant and LOUD.
5 stars based on staff alone. i feel horrible that i can't remember the gentleman's name. we called on a saturday evening, got the voicemail and left a message. within 30 minutes he called us back. we told him we were just looking for an overnight stay that night. we have a 40ft toyhauler + truck = 60 ft and would love a pull thru site. it sounds like he actually drove to the campground to verify everything. called us back again and booked us exactly what we wanted. site was easy to find in the dark. pull thru sites seem a bit tight, but worked fine. we left at 8am so we only saw the very front part of the campground. seems a little older, but nice and would stay there again.
Great place for a family rendezvous outdoors. Stayed in Site 15 for 4 days and will go back soon to Site 17 on the water. Kids had a great time.
Ok seems to be well kept up. Has 2 areas short stay and long term stay. We got in at 1:30 it was 100. A little to hot to really walk around. Though the coolest place tobe is the restrooms and laundry, very nice, how long can you stay in.
They have a pool and it is used. Nice play area for kids.
Sites are gravel and very level, did not have to use our automatic levelers, impressed.
AR 7 PMit was still 100 but went out and got some video and photos.
Texarkana RV Park is a very nice, clean, and friendly RV park. They have a gated entrance for extra security. The park has nice amenities such as pool, playground, laundry, restrooms, dog run, and park-like setting with duck pond. Most sites are pull-thru and plenty long, but narrow. Beware of your slide placement before parking, as site poles may be in the way of a slide fully opening. Each site is gravel with a patio and they have 50 amp FHU. We enjoyed our stay at this campground and would definitely stay again. 👍🏻😊

Nice park just outside Ashdown AR. The dam road is very close and the lumber trucks are load and often. Nice sites and well cared for. Very friendly staff. I’d recommend staying by the lake. Not as much traffic noise and better views.
Campsites are on a one way road and some were tight, but it’s a quiet beautiful park right by the lake. Nice trail for walks and big playground for kids.
Nice staff. Clean sites. The only downside from my opinion is the close proximity to the Interstate. We stayed here for one week. I worked during the day using my T-Mobile / Sprint Hotspot. Great 5G signal. AT&T's 5G was horrible at times even though I had full bars. (not the campground's fault of course).
Nice bathhouse with washers and dryers. Close proximity to everything in the northern part of the city.
Call ahead and make sure your site has a fire pit and swing if you want one, otherwise, it is hit-and-miss.
Ok so in fairness, we are here end of January 2022. This place is Deserted and everything is closed. However, it is a great place to relax since there is NOTHING going on here.
The staff could not have been nicer. Suzanne (camp manager) went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Also made accommodations for me to work ( since I still work full time from the road). Everyone is super nice. Thank you Neally & Cassi. Beautiful people.
Cell phone signal for T-Mobile is non existent. Verizon is AWFUL. AT&T is bad but doable.
Great campground for a short stay or longer occupancy. Easy to get in and out. Full amenities. This is an older campground that is being upgraded in progress. The RV sites are double sized and pull through. Wifi is available and there is a cell phone tower across the street, so its terrific 5g signal. There is a small laundry room and a shower house. There is a catch and release pond, and walking spaces on the back acreages and piney woods. It is quiet and friendly. The owner is very helpful and approachable. The sites are level. The nearby area boasts a small grocery store with gas station for gas and diesel, post office, oil change/brake shop, high school ball fields and tennis courts, as well as nearby pizza and Mexican restaurants. There is a terrific steak house within a 20 minute drive. Doctors offices are conveniently located near the Post Office too. I recommend this park as a home base for nomadic RVers. Any questions, just ask. The property has lots of fire ants and chiggers, so stay on paved areas.
It’s an older campground, but still had everything we needed for an overnight stay! Easy on & off the interstate (42 ft long fifth wheel).
Good overnight stay when we go to southern texas. Easy in and easy out
Tent, RV, and Cabin options available. Tent site range up to $25 nightly, $38 nightly for cabin, and up to $30 nightly for RV. Full RV hook ups, up to 30amp. Pet friendly, wooded, and has playground. Campground is close to Crate of Diamonds SP
Spot has plenty of amenities, cabins, Rv spots, playground, pond, pool, and an event hall. There are full hookups and clean restroom. Close acces to retailers also.
We drove in this time with a longer rental unit with a trailer attached and found ourselves in a couple of tough turns trying to get to our spot. Wider lanes and intersections would be appreciated. Otherwise hookups we’re fine and our spot was roomy
This is a nice clean campground. Plenty of room to roam
Not very impressed with this koa. We came for a cattle show so didn’t stay much at the campground but they were infested with ants.
Second time through here on our way to Houston, this will always be our stop in and out of Texas! Great place, super clean, big spaces!
Was really impressed with this campground for our RV. Would visit again when in Texarkana, very clean and a lot of activities for families!
Nice level campsites with great views of the lake. No shade on the full hookup side of the campground. Lots of shade in the water/electric side of the campground. Bathrooms were spacious, clean and private. Verizon cell signal was on the weak side.
Cute and clean! Great for a few nights or longer. Pool, playground, laundry, and showers. The whole place is clean and neat. Easy to access from the I-30 service road, pull through sites available. We live in a 45' 5th wheel and had no trouble at all. FULL HOOK-UPS! 30 and 50 amp.
