Very clean and pretty

We stayed at this campground last weekend. It was very pretty and well maintained! The sites were HUGE and there were very few other campers. We stayed in site 14 right across from the lake. The bathrooms were clean and looked like they had just been updated. We would definitely come back sometime!

Spring Break at Degray Lake State Park

Had a great stay!  the camping area we were in (De Roche Ridge) was fully redone a few years ago.  Great views as all sites were on the water.  We had our bikes and it was a short ride to the main part of the park.

Incredible sunsets

Denby was one of our favorites. In early March it was really quite. Lakefront site with incredible sunsets. The facilities were clean and more than adequate. I was able to launch my SUP within a short walk to the boat launch. Great place to ride bikes. There is a decent hike to the neighboring campground. We saw tons of deer everyday in the campground.

Site by the creek

Being a first come, we showed up early and got a great shaded site on the creek. The sites are tight, but clean. No showers were available. We hiked to Hot Springs and to the Tower from the camoground.

One of the best in Arkansas

Definitely my favorite park in Arkansas so far. It’s a really big park at the lake with lots to do. I was there in the fall so I didn’t do any lake stuff but still had a great time tent camping. There’s a nice hiking trail to explore. Also, the bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a state park. All the tent sites have a gravel pad, grill, picnic table and fire ring. There are also walk in tent sites on the peninsula which are nice and quiet. If you get one at the end I’d say it’s probably 200 meters to the parking lot and bathrooms. I peeked into one of the cabins and they look really nice. They also have camper cabins that have heat/air but no bathroom. In all there are 93 RV/tent sites, 8 cabins and 4 camper cabins. The park is also near Hot Springs so there is lots to do.

Great spot

After a day of quartz mining at Jim Coleman we drove 30 minutes south to this campground on Lake Ouachita. This was our first time to this lake and it was beautiful and quiet. Our site 44 was right on the water in a cove with 2 other sites close by. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and bbq grill. It was easy to find a level spot for both our tents. Two bathroom/shower houses were close walking distance, were clean, and heated with hot water! There is also a large basin with hot water to wash dishes or fill jugs. It was really nice to have hot water! There is a cool trail accessible from the campground but sadly we didn’t have time to hike.

Beautiful views

This was our 2nd time camping here. Huge sites and we were right up from the lake. Swimming AND fishing. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because it needed mowing. LOL  But it was quiet and NOT crowded at all, and we went in July when it should have been crowded. We definitely will come back!

Our first resort park 😍

From our stay in Mar 15 2021. Lots of activities here, we stayed at the De Roche Ridge campsite area, love the view of the lake no matter which site you stay and enjoyed beautiful sunsets from ours. Full hookups, level pads, clean and well maintained picnic benches, fire pits and grills.

Enjoyed brunch at the Lodge's restaurant, beautiful view of the lake here. They had cleaned all play areas and set up toys for young kids.

We enjoyed paddle boating, horse back riding and disc golf. Each trail had a information board where you can scan a QR code to know more about the trail, what made it unique and what to look out for while you are out there. This was new to us and kept us curious.

Some trails were soggy but it had been raining for a few days making it difficult to get past. Some signs indicating this could have helped us stay off the trails.

Basic but great place to stay

We stay there several times a year.  Great hiking the lake is always fun.  It is near enough to Hot Springs.  Also near plenty of quartz mines.  My favorite place in Arkansas.

Fun in Hot Springs

Nice clean campground. Employees all very nice and helpful. Spaces are somewhat tight, but are well maintained. The roads are narrow and create some tight turns depending on where your site is located. Also the turn in off the main road is fairly steep and you could see where several people have had their camper drag when pulling in. In the confirmation email they give you another way to come in so that you can maneuver the turn without dragging, so definitely pay attention to that if you have a longer rig. Playground was fun for the kids but needed some attention for sure. Maybe just some routine maintenance needed, but some issues there. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.
