This park was incredible. We were originally supposed to be on site 41, I think, but we couldn't get level with the 3% grade. The staff was super helpful and we found another site, but without full hook ups, so we stayedess than our whole desired stay. Internet was spotty with Verizon and ATT, which baffled me, but it wasn't great. We loved the park, wanted to stay longer, but didn't make sense for us.
Nice campgrounds. Clean bathrooms. Expect bugs, I had a Thermacell for mosquitos that worked great for them. The water hyacinths were in full bloom on the ponds driving in and along the backside of the camp.
Great little city run campground i. the middle of the city park. Lots and lots to do, from the river, hiking, biking, and the amusement park.
Great little campground in North Little Rock. Part of a large park including tennis, golf, playgrounds, etc. Beautiful in the fall. The sites are fairly close together and mixed with tents & campers. Mgmt is very helpful!
PROs: Campground located on the river with beautiful scenic views. Covered picnic table and tall fire ring. Spacious camps. Flat pad. CONs: No clean space to get down a fish from the bank. Lots of bugs due to being near the river.
Realized late in the day we wouldn't make it past Little Rock. Called at 4:00 which is after hours and call was returned promptly. Nice lady said 2 sites left and we didn't have to pay in advance. Right off I40 but you don't hear traffic. Campground is in the woods in huge city park. Water and electric and dump station. Might need 2 hoses for water some sites share spigot. Be careful some big ditches off sides of roads - make wide turns. Will stay again.
For a small campground, this place has a lot to offer. Well stocked store, RV sites, tent sites, group sites, cabins, pavilion, and even a stage for events.
Quick access to the Syllamore Trail, the creek, and nearby mountain biking trails.
Jacksonport has grown since we tent camped here years ago. Great new Visitors Center, still love the museum (it is closed right now because of COVID), the beach is pretty, but we miss the old Paddlewheel. Nice level sites and shaded.
We love this campground. We love having direct access to creek. It is kayak, family, pet friendly. The only thing it is lacking is internet connection, which for us is a plus for disconnecting. All sites are reasonably level. Site F is the premium and most secluded full hook up site. They have all levels of sites: primitive, water and electric, or full. Their small store has firewood and many other convenient items for sale. We take our own kayaks, but they do have rentals. They have public showers and restrooms, but the restrooms are currently closed due to renovations. Itās really one of our favorite local sites to camp.
