It was a beautiful campground. The site we were on was not ideal. As soon as we stepped out the door we had to go up an incline to get to our picnic table. Our camper was pretty level and most of the other sites looked much better than ours, but that is what we get for booking late. The sites were…
I have stayed there 2 times with grands. Cell/Wifi is non existent. Some parents do not supervise their children. Host and manager are good and try to stay on top of things. They are very responsive
Absolutely loved this camp ground has everything you need to stay for as long as you like. Highly recommend.
Amazing place to stay. Good park with plenty for the kids.
This RV park is right on a lake, but a bit away from anything else. If you have any sort of boat, kayak, paddle board, bring it! There is hiking about an hour away at the Bankhead National Forest.
You can pick your spot when you arrive. I like that.
A and B sections are the original sections. C…

We chose a primitive site for a quieter camping night. Although the furthest away from a bathhouse, we truly enjoyed this site. It’s “pick your own” and we picked the site next to Seals hiking trail along the water. Each site has a fire pit and is mostly level. No table, so bring your own. No…
Stayed just off the main road about a mile at a previously made campsite. Some other campsites around were filled with trash. Please pick up after yourselves.
No cellular but ok enough data.
Trailhead is down from the campsites a ways, probably would drive it not walk it.
The spaces were a little bit tight & close but they were angled nicely. We had to maneuver the trailer around the trees but not complaining about the shade. The staff were very helpful. Everyone had to wait while we backed in & unhitched because go the narrow roads but we had a wonderful…
This is the first (or last) site you will pass coming from or going to the Sipsey River Trailhead off of Cranal Road. It is only a short walk down the trail on the right side and is a small clearing with an established fire pit. Nothing special about this site except how close it is to the parking…

This is a small but well-cleared site that would work well for a small group. Check out my other reviews in the area for a better overview of the hiking in Sipsey. This site has an established fire pit and easy access to (purifiable) water.

I really enjoy backpacking Bankhead National Forest. We camped about 1 mile in at an existing fire ring. Beautiful water color!! Cool trees and rock formations.

There isn’t anywhere that doesn’t have a view connected to a great golf course and fishing that can’t be beat. Can get crowded but has places to get away on trails and the water
Camping here is a very unique experience and completely different than most other campgrounds so I will try and make sure to include enough details to repeat our trip. This"campsite" is really just a large embankment along the Tennessee River on land owned by the TVA. They have a policy that on…

GPS took us in a very rural way with lots of twisty roads. One there we found an open spot on our own since it was a holiday the office was closed. Full hook ups and a fairly level grass pad. Not bad for an overnight. There are tons of thing to do here especially if you like to fish!
Nice clean laundry and baths. Nice location on Smith lake. Sites were roomy.
Wifi weak cel singnal weak.
