Cherokee Campground

Cherokee Campground operates year-round as a private facility accommodating RVs up to 50 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The campground maintains gravel pads, though one reviewer noted their site wasn't wide enough to remain level while extending slides and awnings simultaneously. Electric hookups are positioned at the opposite end of pads from water and sewer connections, requiring longer cords for some setups.

Most sites house long-term residents, creating a neighborhood atmosphere where temporary campers may feel like visitors. The facility provides WiFi and allows pets, with reservations available for planning trips. Campers can find campgrounds around Helena for additional options in this central Alabama area.

More of a Long Term Living Area

Most of the pads were filled with long-term residents. The owners were very nice. The rate was reasonable. Our gravel pad was not wide enough to be a) level and b) slide/awning out at the same time. The electric hook-up was at the opposite end of the pad from the water and sewer hook-ups. Some neighbors were friendly, others were a bit suspicious of us as interlopers based on how many times they walked past our area. Overall, would only stay again in a pinch.
