Three camping loops sit on a hill above Keuka Lake's east shore, with mature trees providing natural separation between each area. The 150 sites spread across grassy terrain, most featuring level gravel pads for RVs up to 60 feet. Electric hookups serve 50 sites, while shared water spigots distribute throughout the loops eliminate long walks for tent campers.
Paved roads connect the hilltop campground to the lakefront day-use area below. Helen H. notes "several trails leading from the campground down to the boat launch, pavilions, large playground and beach area," though she adds the trails "could be marked a bit better." The walk down takes campers through wooded gullies to reach the swimming beach, boat ramp, and picnic areas with grills and pavilions.
Site privacy varies by location within the loops. Perimeter sites offer more seclusion, while interior positions may experience foot traffic from campers accessing the centrally located restroom and shower buildings. The facilities earn consistent praise for cleanliness and modern condition. A dump station operates near the entrance, necessary since only electric and water hookups are available at individual sites.
The campground operates from early May through mid-October, with reservations recommended during peak summer months. David S. stayed a full week and "honestly didn't want to leave," though he notes campers should prepare for the lack of sewer connections. Firewood bundles sell for $5 at the entrance station, and evening rangers can reopen the office for additional purchases.
For a different lakeside experience, Keuka Kampground provides full hookup sites several miles south along the shoreline.
