Woodruff Narrows Reservoir

Rock outcroppings along the reservoir's receding shoreline define the character of this BLM dispersed site outside Woodruff, Wyoming. Drought conditions have lowered water levels significantly, opening up flat, exposed ground that works well for boondocking rigs. The area is OHV-friendly and draws little crowd. Woodruff Narrows Public Access Area sits roughly a mile north for campers wanting a nearby alternative. This site makes sense for self-sufficient campers who want open space and minimal company.

This location is NOT underwater! ;)

This site is on a rock outcropping along the Woodruff Narrows Reservoir. Due to drought in Wyoming (and the west, in general) many reservoirs are drying up. This makes for good dispersed camping. One day, it'll come back, but for now, this site is perfect for someone who wants an empty space to do some boondocking!
