Description
North Granite Creek Road cuts into the Teton National Forest south of Jackson, threading through an open mountain corridor flanked by rugged peaks and the rushing creek below — bear country with wide-sky views and no tree cover to speak of. The access road is rocky and gravelly but manageable for most high-clearance vehicles without four-wheel drive, and the pullouts along the first several miles can accommodate multiple rigs including larger setups. Note that the very first pullout near the road's start is signed no-camping; the second pullout and spots further up the drainage are the ones open for dispersed use, with no cell service in the canyon.
