GuideWe didn't get to spend a ton of time here, just one night, but it's a pretty standard KOA. All the things you'd expect, like the activities and lodging options. We stayed in a kamping kabin and got a queen+ bunk beds version which I wasn't expecting. We had thought we had the queen-bed only. There wasn't much to be done about it as everything was booked. The bathrooms were clean and the dishwashing station was well maintained. The pool looked nice but we didn't get a chance to test it out. The tent sites along the side of the property were shaded and looked nice, but the ones in the middle were pretty basic with no trees.
TravelerStayed two nights after YNP. Sites gravel, level, hook ups good. The pool was closed for cleaning after some flooding when we arrived, but had it open very soon. Grandkids liked the pool.

This campground is in a grove of trees with the sites along dirt roads in the grove. Each site has water, sewage, and electric. Owners were nice and helpful. We really enjoyed this park.
GuideVery clean KOA with a pool for kids. Offers shuttle to nightly rodeo in town. Lots of BIG RVs with pull through spaces. They actually had a pretty good area for tents too.
TravelerThis horse friendly RV park is right outside the Bighorn Mountains, which offers beautiful views (check out Crazy Woman Canyon!) and recreational opportunities. They have a small grassy spot for tents. Clean bathrooms with showers and 24 hour laundry are available. It is right in the little town of Tensleep with a couple restaurants/bars and evening entertainment (when I stayed on a weekend, there was live music playing right down the road). The owner was very nice and accommodating.

GuideOkay park with nice staff. Not to far of a bike ride to Cody. There is a bus that goes to the rodeo every night, but we stayed in the hot tub and pool. Cool little lake just up the road too. Great place to chill for a couple of days.
TravelerThis campground is an amazing off grid location for those looking to escape for a little while. The directions in the description is correct, however the GPS coordinates are not, so I will try and fix that through Dyrt. I was able to cross reference the name of the campground with USFS maps on OnX to find the actual coordinates, this led us down a nice easy dirt road that eventually lead to a pretty rough Jeep trail. You wouldn’t want anything less than a stock Wrangler or equivalent to take this road. In our rig we bottomed out a few times, and by the time we made it to the campground we weren’t sure how we would make it out if it were to snow or rain.
However, that being said, we had the whole campground to ourselves, in a beautiful creek filled with trout. A vault toilet with his and her designations was on site, and nice little hiking trails followed the river. It was a wonderful place to stay for a few days off grid.
I would totally recommend this campground for anyone who is overlanding or has a camping setup that is capable of four wheel drive. There are about 3 sites available for truck and trailer (our trailer is 12ft and is the biggest I’d ever consider bringing down this trail, I will also note it has 33” off road tires and high clearance). As well as a number of tent sites, all with either rock fire rings or metal fire rings with cooking grates.
We were able to crawl our way back out of the camp area after an overnight steady rain, we kept in in 4 low and made it safely.

GuideNeeded to be back on the grid for a few days and this is a great place to do it. Fast internet, nice spots, and pretty empty this time of year. Very worth it.
RangerSites are extremely close. There are no trees. Hook ups for RVs are adequate. The pool area is the highlight with 2 pools (one kiddie) and a hot tub. All very clean. The basketball area is very nice too but too hot to play for us today. There’s a playground, large outdoor chess and scrabble.
The store is small but packed with a lot of souvenirs mostly. I didn’t use the restroom on my stay. The game room looked a bit worse for the wear. Free pancakes in the morning, but the kids weren’t interested. I’m gluten free so no pancakes for me.

TravelerThis was a nice little overnight stay on our way to the Grand Tetons. The site we stayed in had a nice cement patio complete with sturdy chairs to relax on. The site was also very long allowing us to keep our Jeep hooked up for the night. I will say the sites are close together, but not unusually close for a KOA. The grounds were well maintained and was an overall nice atmosphere. Connectivity was good. T-Mobile was the winner on speed with about 6 Mbps, but Verizon and AT&T also had a strong signal.
RangerThe campground serves pancakes in the morning for free. You buy extras like sausage juice etc. reasonable price. Roadeo in town every night and campground shuttles to it and back.

GuideI stopped here for one night and changed my reservation upon seeing the park. It’s a gravel lot. Campers were on top of each other. Forget social distancing. Bring earplugs because parties are happening late. I chose to go somewhere else after that.
