Lake Three sits within Chequamegon National Forest, a US Forest Service campground open from early June through mid-October. Water is close. The site sits near a creek, river, and lake, giving anglers and swimmers direct access to multiple water sources without a long walk. RVs up to 40 feet can drive in, and picnic tables and fire rings are on-site. Pets are welcome. Reservations are available, which is worth noting for summer weekends when lakeside sites in northern Wisconsin fill quickly.
