With 67 sites spread across forested terrain, Two Lakes operates as a primitive campground within Chequamegon National Forest from May through October. The US Forest Service manages this $25-per-night facility, where reservations secure some sites while others remain first-come, first-served. No hookups exist for water, electric, or sewer, though a freshwater pump sits across from site 35 for tank filling.
Lake Owen provides the main draw here, offering swimming access via a short walk to the beach area. Reviewers consistently mention the clear water quality, with some describing snorkeling conditions. Makayla B. notes "No dogs allowed in the water or beach," while campground hosts rent kayaks and canoes on-site. Fishing opportunities exist on both Lake Owen and smaller Bass Lake, where a one-mile hiking loop circles the water.
Sites vary considerably in their proximity to water, with some offering direct lake access for boat tie-ups while others sit deeper in the forest. The campground spans two lake areas, creating options for different camping preferences. Cell service remains limited throughout the area. Vault toilets, a dump station, and trash service handle basic needs, while generators are permitted despite noise concerns from some campers. For those exploring the broader region, camping spots outside Drummond provide additional options within the national forest system.
