Accessible via rough forest roads, Ken Wilcox Horse Campground operates seasonally from July through November within Wenatchee National Forest. The US Forest Service manages this equestrian facility with a strict no-pets policy to accommodate horses and their handlers.
Limited recent visitor feedback suggests the surrounding forest remains in recovery stages, with ongoing regrowth affecting the site's current condition. Campers planning trips to this remote location should prepare for challenging access conditions and consider alternative [campgrounds around Wenatchee National Forest] if seeking more developed facilities. The seasonal closure through late spring and early summer reflects the area's elevation and weather patterns.
