Rustic Camping, feel like you Backpacked in.

This is a no fee walk in site. So you can pack the car but "backpack" in the last couple feet. Which I personally love. It makes you feel like you are really back to nature. Although I wouldn't advice for families or those that want more amenities.

Fish Lake Campground is located near the towns of Cle Elum and Ronald in Washington state. It's a walk-in campground situated alongside Fish Lake, making it accessible for visitors looking to experience the natural beauty of the area. The campground is nestled in a picturesque setting that offers a genuine back-to-nature experience, though reaching it requires a short walk from where you park your vehicle.

What do reviews say about Fish Lake Campground?

Fish Lake Campground is a no-fee walk-in site that offers a genuine back-to-nature experience. The campground provides a more primitive camping experience without extensive amenities, making it ideal for those seeking solitude and a connection with nature. While some campers appreciate the natural setting, others note challenges with lake access due to tall shoreline vegetation. This campground is better suited for individuals or small groups seeking a rustic experience rather than families looking for numerous facilities.

What photos show Fish Lake Campground's facilities?

Since this is a no-fee walk-in campground with minimal development, images generally highlight the natural surroundings rather than built facilities. Visitors should expect to see pictures of basic campsites, the lake (though potentially with vegetation along shorelines), and the surrounding woodland setting. For the most current visual information, check the official Forest Service website or contact the ranger district managing the area.

What fishing opportunities are available at Fish Lake?

Fish Lake offers fishing opportunities, though access to the water may be challenging due to tall shoreline vegetation. The lake supports fishing activities, but anglers should come prepared with proper equipment to navigate through the lakeside growth. For the best fishing experience, consider bringing waders or finding designated fishing spots where the shoreline is more accessible. Be sure to check current Washington fishing regulations and obtain appropriate licenses before your trip.
