Free dispersed camping in Snoqualmie National Forest, Fish Creek sits along a dirt road that can challenge low-clearance vehicles, so high-clearance is worth considering before the drive in. Sites fill up by Thursday most weeks in summer, so arriving mid-week or earlier gives campers a better shot at a preferred spot. Amenities are minimal: one vault toilet, trash cans, and a picnic table that moves between sites on a first-come basis. No drinking water is available on-site, though a natural spring roughly a mile and a half down the road is reportedly clean and usable. Fishing is restricted within the camping area due to an endangered fish breeding zone, but accessible water is available upstream or at the nearby reservoir. Peninsula Campground is less than a mile north for campers who want a more developed setup.
Description
There are many undeveloped camping locations on the forest. Generally there are no amenities available, such as restrooms, water or garbage dumpsters. All trash and waste must be packed out. No toilet available? See How to Go in the Forest. Use existing sites and do not damage vegetation. Campfires are not allowed at these sites during high fire danger. Check Fire Restrictions page.
