This site served its purpose; gave us a place to sleep for the night. Directions in were not very clear and not sure if we were in the right spot. We did see “no camping” sprayed painted on trees about a mile before we found a large clearing that had been used for a camp spot. Could have fit probably six more campers in that spot. We never saw the vault toilet that was previously mentioned.

The site was clean and offered beautiful view of the sky. Two other campers showed up but parked along the road in front of the site. At some point there was a very loud truck driving at a fast speed, possibly a local as a previous review stated. Road in was bumpy and narrow but not bad. Site fit my 42 foot truck/teardrop fine.

Best dispersed spot I’ve ever found. Forest road is also a through road for locals or they just camp super far up there. Anyways a lot of trucks going through but no trouble. Lots of spots

Chill dispersed campsite. Northwest Forest Pass is needed to camp. I couldn´t count exactly how many sites there were, but my best guess would be around 8-10. About half of the sites were walk-in, but we secured a site with our car. The approach was surprisingly easy too! I have the smallest lil hatchback boi, and it made it easily the 5 minutes down the gravel road to reach the camping area. The campsites are also sufficiently removed from the highway that it´s not possible to hear any car noise, which was good. I would stay here again!

Couldn’t get a spot at Fairholme so I opted for this location. I only saw 2 small areas you could back in with fire pits. One closer to the 101, and one further back before you cross the bridge. Spots are muddy so I’d be cautious in regular non AWD/4WD vehicles. Secluded enough, but with easy access to the freeway just a 5 min drive down the road. There are plenty of other pullouts off the road that would suit someone just looking for a spot to sleep for the night, or van folks who are fully contained.

My only gripe, PACK OUT YOUR TRASH. Saw numerous bags, tissues, etc. stretching down the road and one of the fire pits at the sites had toilet paper all over it. Seriously? Pack it out or dig a cat hole at least.

First we must note that the exact coordinates for this spot are actually NOT usable according to spray paint on boulders there that say “no camping - private”. This whole road is paved which is really nice. We found a spot just a few hundred feet off the main road that looked like an entrance/exit for logging trucks. But as it was after hours it wasn’t a problem to park there. It was level and had some gravel on it.

This spot is excellent. Easy river access (you’ll fall asleep to the sound of running water). Very scenic and plenty of space. Only one spot in vicinity of the pin though. Might be more around, but I didn’t see any.

We camped here over Labor Day weekend.This road has a good few dispersed camping sites, We went a little past where the river site is and there were two good sized spots on the right right side of the road. It rained but there was enough tree coverage that our stuff stayed relatively dry. The site was good good although there are ATV trails near enough and a shooting range it sounded like so it might not be as quiet as others would like. Overall good base for hiking around lake crescent! There was a black bear walking around in the morning near the river also so had to be careful with our things.

First couple miles of FS 2918 are in the National Park and no camping us allowed. After a small logged area, you get into the National Forest and there are several areas, some great, some ok

We wanted to get away fairly last minute for Labor Day weekend and didn’t have a reservation anywhere. We found a spot on the River that is absolutely perfect. The site is spacious and has good tree cover, plus cell service and a nearby store and firewood source. Will definitely come back!

Great dispersed camping. We arrived about 3/4pm during the week and got a spot up the FS-2918, right on the river down a short track. There was a burnt up car up on the road but well away from our spot. There were plenty of places further up the road, felt like a great result for dispersed camping!

A few miles off the main road on NF 2918 we found a cute little site. There was two fire pits and enough room for at least 3 small tents. Was 30 minutes from Sol-Duc Falls trailhead as NF 2918 runs parallel to that road. Showed up around 5pm on 4th of July and was not busy at all. Super dense and full of moss, felt like we were in a jungle. Good internet and coverage from the rain. Would definately stay here again.

Super beautiful mossy green scenery right next to the river. We arrived around 5 on a Wednesday and we’re able to snag what I think was the second camp site. An easy pullout for our SUV where we’re able to set up a tent but ended up just sleeping in the car due to rain. The perfect location for exploring Olympic NP. The longest we drive was about an hour and a half to the Hoh Rainforest. Felt safe for two solo girls camping. Great service for Verizon, none for at&t. Would definitely stay again.

Super cool spot to camp en route to going down Olympic NP. Only about a mile from the highway. 3 sites are here, the first is just before the bridge and the second right after which is very limited parking. The 3rd is a little farther down with lots of parking room. Great site but definitely a lot colder than expected. Very beautiful and a river runs by the site. Would camp here again

A local told us about this spot as we ate breakfast at the Hungry Bear Cafe off the 101. There are a handful of great spots along 2918. We stayed next to the Sol Duc River and it was beautiful! This site didn't have a ton of room for parking but we had a motorcycle so it worked out. It is also pretty steep to get down to the site. There are two other nearby sites -- one that is smaller and has limited parking and is steep to get to and the other is very large with parking space for a larger vehicle.
