Description
Ours is a private, 'Pre-Reservation-Only' campground. NO visits without advance reservation, no 'Drop-Ins', PLEASE !! We are ONLY set up to handle visitors WITH reservations, we will be sad as we must turn you away if you just 'drop in'.
Created as Funston Gardens, over 25 years ago by the Funstons, we (Will and Asha) became the stewards of this beautiful property in June 2016.
Fun fact, ours was the first HipCamp site on the Olympic Peninsula (June 2018), we joined TheDYRT for the 2025 season.
We live on the property with Clancy, Uncle Larry, Tim and Pete and our friendly Northwest Farm Terrier, Pickle.
We have lovely grounds to wander in and a couple of outdoor spaces to support your sense of peace and connection.
This is NOT a party camp space. We are a place for peace and quiet where you can enjoy the woods. We are also not suitable for children (if you have tweens/teens, message us). We have too many "attractive nuisances" for young children to be safe.
Secluded campsites are nestled among cedars, firs, hemlock and maples. Tents only, no campers/trailers or pets please. Community firepit has chairs, with free firewood (a curated selection of site-grown firewood may include: cedar, fir, hemlock, cherry, madrone, etc). Fire BAN is currently OFF, so campfire in the pit is OK. We have a picnic table with a tarp rain cover to use for food prep, with handy trash and recyling cans nearby. Portapotty is a short walk from the tent sites.
Safe, secure, private, scenic. Please have no more than two people and one vehicle per site. There is no electricity available in the Tent camping area. Good Cell coverage in the area, and wifi available near the Big Barn.
You're staying on a 7 acre, mostly forested parcel, 1/4 mile from Hwy 101, mid way between Port Angeles and Sequim, WA. Some traffic hum, but not much, and it varies depending on how the wind is blowing.
We are conveniently located:
3/4 miles East of the Deerpark entrance to Olympic Natl Park,
5.5 miles East of the Main Olympic National Park Wilderness Information Center & Hurricane Ridge.
33mi drive to Lake Crescent Spruce Railroad trailhead,
1/4 mile to the Bus Stop on US 101(free local bus service!)
6 miles to the Ferry to Victoria BC.
