Overview

Timberline Glamping at Williamsburg is a 6-site luxury safari tent glamping concession operating year-round inside Chickahominy Riverfront Park, a 140-acre James City County park located at 1350 John Tyler Highway. Situated on the banks of the Chickahominy River with individual tent decks overlooking Gordon Creek, the property is a privately operated franchise of Timberline Glamping Co. and is well suited to families, couples, and small groups seeking furnished outdoor accommodation near historic Williamsburg.

Facilities

All six safari tents are fully furnished with beds, linens, mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker, ceiling fans, and residential A/C and heating units. Each glampsite also includes a hammock, wood fire ring with cooking grate, picnic table, and two outdoor chairs. A county-maintained bathhouse with restrooms and showers is a short walk from the sites. The county park's Guest Services building sells firewood, ice, bait, tackle, and camping supplies. Firewood can also be pre-ordered as a reservation add-on.

Recreation

Guests have access to the park's 290-foot lighted fishing pier (open 24 hours), catch-and-release pond, swimming pool and splash pad (seasonal), boat ramp, and paddlecraft rentals. Kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, and fishing on the Chickahominy River are all available. The Virginia Capital Trail, accessible from the park, offers biking and walking. Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown Battlefield, and Busch Gardens are all a short drive away.
