Reservations are available at Pine Hollow Campground in Pownal, Vermont, where nightly rates run $41 to $57 and the season spans mid-May through mid-October. The access road has a rough stretch, so drivers of larger rigs should take it slow. Full hookup sites accommodate RVs up to 70 feet, with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus a dump station on-site. Showers, drinking water, and WiFi round out the amenity list.
The campground is built around a small fishing pond, and that central feature shapes the whole layout. Sites ring the water, and several reviewers mention orienting their trailers to face it directly. The pond supports catch-and-release trout fishing and swimming, and one reviewer sums it up well: AcIdBuRn calls it a "nice pond for swimming and catch and release trout fishing." The surrounding hills are tree-covered, and the grounds have drawn consistent praise for cleanliness across multiple visits. Pets are welcome.
The owners come up repeatedly in reviews, particularly for handling late arrivals and unexpected repairs without friction. The mix of forested and open terrain gives the campground some variety between sites. Nearby alternatives for a longer stay in the region include Seth Warner Shelter to the east and South Shire to the north. Anglers, families with dogs, and RV travelers passing through southern Vermont looking for camping near Pownal will find Pine Hollow a practical and well-maintained overnight stop worth booking ahead.
Description
We purchased Pine Hollow Campground is 2020. We have done many needed upgrades to our electric and septic systems. in 2023, we have laundry facilities and an upgraded bath house.
We are located in Southern Vermont, where the Berkshire Hills meet the Green Mountains, less than ten miles from Bennington Vermont or Williamstown Massachusetts. The Park is nestled in a small valley surrounded by towering pine trees, a beautiful green meadow, and spring fed pond. Most of our sites are large enough to accommodate large rigs and slideouts. Pull-throughs also available. We stock our pond for catch and release trout fishing, and offer paddleboat rentals too.
We also have a newly built Pavilion.
