Description
Tucked just off Vermont Route 9 in Green Mountain National Forest near the village of Woodford, this roadside pull-off sits in hilly hardwood terrain at roughly 1,900 feet elevation. The parking area is wide enough to handle large rigs, with two entry points and a slight slope toward a nearby creek whose sounds carry clearly at night. Road noise from VT 9 is noticeable but fades once you're inside a vehicle; winter visitors should note that the pull-off is typically plowed later than the highway after snowfall.
