Gravel road access and no cell signal set the tone at Sheep Creek Lake Primitive Campground, a dispersed area within Ashley National Forest managed by the US Forest Service. No established campsites, toilets, or potable water are available, so campers must pack in everything they need. A primitive boat ramp provides lake access for fishing and kayaking. Anglers should note the lake functions primarily as a Colorado River Trout nursery. Pack out all trash and bring enough water for your stay.
