Accessible by standard vehicle, Rock Springs Trail provides dispersed camping within Uinta National Forest along Elk Ridge. The US Forest Service manages this drive-in area, where campers can set up without designated sites or formal facilities.
Located less than a mile from Payson Lakes Campground, the dispersed sites offer an alternative to developed camping with more flexibility in campsite selection. The forest setting provides natural screening between camping spots. Campers should come prepared with their own water and waste disposal plans, as no services are available on-site.
